The Alan Redhouse speech is now up as a mp3 on
http://paula.tidstrand.com/ (http://paula.tidstrand.com/)
(video coming soon) It's apparently like 5 people a time
download though, the guy(or girl?) hosting this file want people to contact him/her to setup mirrors.

I'm a guy... ;-)
Like SlimJim said, please contact me (ulf@tidstrand.com) if you have the possibility to put up a mirror site.

@wolfie

Hehe, sorry. It was "paula tidstrand" that confused me ...

wolfie, how big is the file?
-
9.4 MByte. The format is MP3 32 KBps in mono (about 40 minutes of sound).
Hopefully there will be a new mirror up soon.
-
Ok... :-D
Paula is the name of my server (named after the original Amiga sound chip)...
-
Check y'r mailbox wolfie :-).
-
"Server busy"
Can't everyone who downloaded it share it with Kazaa? ;-)
-
[edit]
Well in light of wolfie's post... use a mirror
-
There are now three sites to download from and at least two or three more coming up very soon.

Big question is:
Did you cut when Alan requested "I don't want this part put on the internet just yet" or didn't you? ;-)
I didn't think it was too classified what he said, but he did after all give a non-formal presentation of something he's doing in other channels... And he did after all request it be held off the videos etc...
-
Didn't hear anything of the sorts in the mp3, so I guess that's been edited out/after the mp3 ended. (gah! censorship! Big Brother argh! :-o ;-)).
-
@ole-egil
Yes, the part after the Q&A session is not there.
The whole last part of the talk (the quick flip through he did
of his "other" presentation) is left out. Very good, since Alan
didn't want it basooned over the 'net. Got to respect that.

Yes - that part is edited out since Alan explicitly asked for it (I spoke with him afterwards to get all things sorted out). However, for the curious ones there wasn't any breaking news regarding OS4 or AmigaOne in that part. The reason for not putting it on the web is that relationships with other companies could be hurt if it got too much exposure.
BTW, the people who drove all across the country (and from Norway as in Ole-Egil's case) to visit the fair should have something extra for that... ;-)
One other good thing is that the audio file got 15 minutes shorter and thus the download times are shortened... :-D
-
Actually the Q&A part was the last part. The cut is made after appr. 21 minutes of the audio capture.

Ah. I sat on the front row and still I cannot get my chronology right... :roll:
-
Well, it's understandable, since he does talk rather non-formally to a bunch of friends, and might not be something he wants to be seen as an official sales presentation.
I'm wondering if he could put up the presentation for download in pdf or something. Did anyone ask about that?
-
There are som blurry photos of the presentation on AmiGBG's site (www.amigbg.org (http://www.amigbg.org/)). I hope to get some screenshots from my video up during the evening (I'm still at work)...
-
I see I'll be making another CD for the local club. :-)
-
Try edonkey and overnet.
-
Now the video files of the speech (24 resp. 64 MBytes depending on quality) are released (the same site). Mirrors will be available very soon. The other video clips will follow later this week.

@wolfie
Can you also make avi or mov or mpeg files of it?

If you have a PC convert it using TMPGENC (http://www.tmpgenc.net/e_main.html) it also allows you to create a VCD image so you can play it on a DVD Player.

@JurassicCamper
I had a look at TMPGENC but it does not let me select rm files. Maybe I got the wrong one. I only had a quick look.
