whats the easiest way to check the specs of a600(memory upgrades,hard drives ect)

By obtaining a phillips head screwdriver. ;-)

Or you could use Sysinfo which gives you a lot information on speed, chip versions and such like...

Nope. You are assuming that he is capable of transfering it to his A600 somehow. This requires a lot of additional work (for a newbie). I still say open it up for the easiest way to find out what's inside.

Sorry, I should have thought - I got it off a CU Amiga coverdisk years ago. In this day and age there'd be the PC disk problems. x56h34's right, open her up.
