Title: Amiga 500 power led failure
Post by: Gavilan on November 03, 2005, 05:14:43 PM
Well, here i have a simple problem, but i cannot figure out whats wrong
I was playing around with one of my A500 until suddenly red power led doesnt work anymore.
Yellow disk drive led works normally, so i tought some loose cable or something was the cause. I looked around , no answers at all.

What could have happened?

Cheers

Sebastian

Might be a bad solder point, that's given up after many years. Shouldn't be too much trouble to resolder. Or the LED's dead - very rare though.

Seba:
the cable could be in bad shape too. Did you test for voltage continuity?
A bad solder point is a good choice too.

p.s. Sorry in spanish: Ocupa un multimetro y testea continuidad del cable en ambos extremos. Suele pasar que se rompa por algun tiron.
