Post by: MikeB on March 30, 2003, 12:50:45 AM
Don't know if anyone else noticed that Elbox shipping the driver software on a Tiny CD.

Why did they do that?  i dont have a cd tray which means i now have to burn the software onto cd using my pc.

Just warning anyone else if you have a frontloaded cdrom.

A bit stupid of them although most modern cd roms and writers take them unless as you have found it is slot instead of tray mounting. :-)  :-?

That sounds kind of cool, a small CD-ROM! :-D

So what happens when you try to insert the small disc into your slot loaded drive?

I agree they are cool

Even the CDTV tray had support for small CD's IIRC

Don't blame Elbox.
They didn't pick your CD-ROM drive for you!!!

It probably goes into the drive and rattles about for the rest of the time that you own that cd rom, stuck in there, never to be seen again :-D

Points taken, but as the drivers suppled on Tiny-CD are the old non-working drivers there is no point them shipping the CD.

I'm using it as a coffee matt!

and i may buy the below item as well to go with it

Pathetic, they should supply the software on normal size cds but never mind it is an Amiga company.

Okay I'll bite.....

@paulgadd:

WTF has the size of the CD on which the software comes to do with it being an Amiga company :-?.

Simple really, if you purchased a piece of hardware from a normal hardware store and the software came on a mini cd but the user could not use the cd then it is the shops fault BUT if the store was in fact an Amiga shop it would be acceptable as the above defending posts clearly show,

It would be like giving someone a betamax film to play on a VHS machine but as long is it is from an Amiga company everything is acceptable.
