Cool, BeOS is great, I used to use BeOS for years, I started on 4.5, then 5.0 Pro.
When I upgraded my PC it did not like my PCIe graphics card.
I will try this, but I somehow doubt it will work, be great if it does!

I always wanted to get in to BeOS when my original A1200 died, but then decided to use Linux because it seemed to have better support. I haven't got any PCs any more (Mac and Amiga only :-D )

I don't suppose there's any way to run BeOS on an Amiga or a Mac?

I might be wrong, but I think 4.5 supported Mac.
I know versions before this did, but I don't know about 5.0.

IIRC BeOS 5 Professional Edition has both Mac and PC versions on the CD.

Zeta is quite cool though, but has lost some intangible property that the original BeOS had.  I can't quite place my finger on it though.

I agree, I tryed some of the beta versions of Zeta, and BeOS 5.0 just seemed better, but I could not put my finger on it...

I could not get the Zeta Live CD to run on my PC it tryed, but did not get there.  I guess I have too much "new" hardawre, looking at the Yellow Tab site seemed to comfirm this.

The latest version of zeta has very bad compatibility and less application support than beos had. I think that people should go toward another alternatives. If you like amiga-ish operating systems take a look at aros  :-D , although it is in early stages now, it is improved quickly.
