Title: How to network an A1200 to a pc
Post by: Gav on October 27, 2005, 12:31:20 AM
Hi
Well due to me messing around with a zip drive & power flyer for over a year i had to restore my whole hard drive.Well i had my amiga on the net via a network card in my mediator. The problem is that i got all the help in setting it up from either here or amigaworld.net?
Well anyways that post seems have gone now and i have no idea how to connect it via genesis.I do remember someone told me to use a static ip address on both machines??Any help would be really great.
Thanks....

If I can do it, then anyone can do it!  :-D

I once networked my A1200T to a W2000 box.

Now my miggy is networked to a WindozeXP box.

YES you need to use a static IP on both machines.

Just search for samba idiot's guide for Amiga and you will find a complete tutorial for Genesis.

I used that tutorial and modified it in my head to work with Miami v3.2
