Set the date correctly, then try this in shell:
Code: [Select]

1.> setclock reset
1.> setclock save

If time is still not saved properly (try with setclock load for example), then you messed something up with the battery.

I remember the efficiency of my Microbotics accelerator for the real time clock. I had to replace the coin batter on it once, but after that, it saved time very nicely.  :-)

I remember my friends and brother telling me the Amiga was gonna crash, so I fast forwarded the time, so that in five seconds, the year would turn 2000, and wouldn't you know, it clicked to 2000 just fine.  :-D  :-)

I wonder how much money they made on the Y2K scam.

ah, the big date changeover.

Nothing happened , except some of my 1985 programs (banking) never assumed I would still be using them by 2000.
Took me days to figure out why my info was no longer logged in.   but hey, living in 1905 isn't so bad, lol.

Someone was asking about cost of the 2000 change.  I know it cost my previous company lots of money as they payed us all overtime as we sat by our computers if they crashed.  I made $26 dollars an hour for 8 hours.  Multiply that times half the work force and it cost plenty.  Nothing happened.   We had a great time though.

Many of my Amiga programs failed to adjust to the new time, so I have to reset my clock on the amiga to use them.  Alas, someone knew the Amiga was not going to exist after 2000.  Enjoy the Christmas season.

I do remember having some fun at that time...
We had to replace two servers which had BIOS problems (revealed during testing) and had some smaller issues like the software of an atomic clock receiver causing network resyncs every couple of seconds (which was impossible to test previously). No scam but somewhat exaggerated.
