Title: US Govt Subsidy For Motorola Based STB

There is a deadline on Analog TV transmission in USA: 2009. Unfortunately approx. 15 millions home will not have Digital TV or Digital to Analog converter (ie STB).
There is a proposal for subsidy for several millions of STB / Set Top Box based on Motorola chipset.
If this chipset can run AmigaOS 4, this will be a great, low cost platform for AmigaOS 4.
Is this idea possible?

"Senate committee to debate $463 million set-top-box subsidy, new DTV transition date. Using Shapiro's figures, that would leave about 15.8 million viewers without digital television by the time of transition - about as many people as watch "ER" on any given Thursday night. Using ballpark figures provided to the Committee by a representative of Motorola, a set-top analog-to-digital converter box manufacturer, estimating the price per unit at $50, the FCC would be able to purchase 9.26 million converters."
