She's growing like crazy! :-o
She's almost three months now, and we believe that she'll soon reach the size I had when I were born! :-)
It's truly amazing to see her smiling at me whenever I look at her.

Great to hear. What I find when I go and visit my God-daughter, is that, it doesn't matter how sh!t my day at work has been, when I walk in and see her, she smiles and all my worries evaporate....
Children are truly magical - well, at least for the first few years ;-)

God-daughter :-?

Err, how to explain? I was asked by her parents to be her godfather....
I have to rush to work, I'll try and explain it later...

not sure what your question is, but a "god-father" or god-mother" is people (sometimes but not always related to the parents) asked to have this special relationship with the child. It's not necessarily another "parent" and it really depends on the people involved. But it's kinda like another person who can look after the child should something happen to the parents. It has no legal power, however. it's just a custom. and can generally be very loose.
if one is catholic, these persons are present during the child's baptism. (If i recall they hold the child during the ceremony)
my "god-father" was my father's brother and my "god-mother" is my mother's sister. but it can be a friend.
is that what you were asking about?
-
Ah, I understand, thanks Cecilia&Cyberus :-)

That they eat brioche?
I don't understand...
I understand the French, but I don't understand the context or significance...
BTW, brioche is delicious :-)
@ bloodline
I don't understand your post either, maybe I'm having a stupid moment :-?
-
@Don Cyberus
I don't mean no disrespect, but have you ever watched any of the three "The Godfather" movies?

Yep, I have. When I originally went to explain 'godfather' they did spring to mind. I just didn't see the link when bloodline mentioned it...
edit: And as to the disrespect, this time we will let that one pass eh? ;-)

Gah! Pint smileys! I've got a hangover from last night - went boozing in Brixton with some old pals and didn't get in (having got the train back to Kent) till 1.30pm. Have a great Friday everyone, I shall be pushing paper with a hangover all day....
-
Good Day,
I am spending time at a mates house probably playing video games and drinking and playing pool down a pub!
All The Best,
-
Yay! Another friday. This one will be spent at home...
-
Bah, I had a awful Friday... worrying about work and worrying about cleaning up my unit.
And now worrying about my old computer not working properly...
