Title: Help! Voyager works, but gegAIM and AmiAIM wont!

Help!

Ive got WinUAE with OS 3.1 running on here, the browser voyager will run and go to sites on the net fine, but gegAIM AND AmiAIM wont connect! help!

I can answer that.

Awhile ago for some reason even a few windows AIM clients wouldnt connect if its the official one.  I dont know why it was, but maybe they got around it?

As far as I know, AIM was banning accounts which were using other clients besides the official AIM.

    If you got AmiAIM from Aminet, the reason it won't work is because partway through the development AOL changed their protocol and it's never been updated with the new one.

GegAIM and AmiAIM are very old thats why..AOL changed their protocol and those 2 Amiga versions of AIM were never updated.............BUT thats why there is

AmigAIM............. thats Amig-AIM (notice the "g").......  not Ami-AIM

AmigAIM is the most recent AIM client for AMiga and it still works as far as I know.................youc an also of course use Jabberwocky which is a AIM/YahooIM/MSM/ICQ/IRC  client all in one!!!!
