Back when I was using 3.1 I used DOpus Magellan (5.11 IIRC) as a Workbench replacement. Is there any advantage to doing this now that I'm on 3.9? Will I lose any functionality of 3.9? Is it worth considering?

I was just about to post a question on Magellan. What i wanted to know was what needed to be done to install it on OS3.9.
I remember reading somewhere that there were compatibility problems.
I hope i havent hijacked the thread but it seemed pretty close to what i was wondering.
Thanks

As far as I know Magellan is incompatible with OS3.9 for the workbench replacement mode, something to do with new libraries or something so you loose functionality. I have is set up in non workbench replacement mode and it works fine.

I'm using Opus Magellan 5.82 in WB replacement mode under OS3.9+BB2 without problems.
You need this version for OS3.5+.
More information and download 5.81 to 5.82 patch here:

How do you find it compares to Workbench 3.9? Is it worthwhile switching, or should I just stick with Workbench?
