i stupidly deleted my startup-sequence on OS3.9 and now i`m stuck
Please help

Do you have your emergency boot floppy? If so, boot with it and copy the startup-sequence off of the CD. Otherwise, if you've installed any boing bag updates there will be backups in S:.
-
Type 'loadwb' followed by 'endcli' to get into workbench and then write a new startup-sequence.

i was really lucky and found a copy of startup-sequence in S:
Thanks for the help ;) I must keep a backup
My mistake was for some stupid reason trying the edit startup-sequence using using WORDPAD in windows XP and it must have changed the format .. could that be it ?
well alls well that ends well lol

PC ends lines with two bytes (CR+LF)instead of normal single LF (Amiga, UNIX..), that may caused your trouble.

It will have caused his problems =) you cant edit Amiga txt files on Windows without it becoming "corrupt" on AmigaOS.
