Title: A stupid NTSC / PAL games question. . .
Post by: Edpon on October 14, 2005, 04:48:24 PM
Hi,
If I wanted to get games from people in the UK and play the games on my Amiga 500/2000/4000, what do I need to do to make it work properly? Or will it work at all?

If you have the ECS chipset or newer you can use TinyPalNtsc (http://main.aminet.net/util/boot/TINYpalntsc.lha) but I wouldn't hold out a lot of hope for the A4000 unless you use Degrader (http://main.aminet.net/util/misc/Degrader.lha) or Tude (http://main.aminet.net/util/misc/TUDE.lha) to simulate ECS for the older games.

-edit-
If you have a PAL system running on a US power supply then you don't have to mess with all the previous stuff.  It will run on a PAL system without question.

Make sure you have a monitor capable of syncing at 50 Hz vertically however.

If not then make sure you have a scandoubler/flickerfixer.
