Take your pick of the following.

1. Pay down your credit card so you can use it.
2. Call your card company to get the security code and ask for a replacement card for your worn out card.
3. Ask either distributor of AF2005 if they can accept a bank transfer.
4. Send them a check or Money Order.
5. Western Union or other money wire company

6. Enjoy a great product!  I downloaded mine due to the problem producing the DVDs, but just got the package in yesterday's mail.

Here's the real question to ask about Amiga 2005. . . . is it even worth buying?  I have Amiga Forever 6  (AF) and didn't really "get it" when I loaded it on my PC.  I had visions of running a fully blown Amiga within a window and only got cute little 1.3 boot screens, with the ability to do really . . nothing.  Maybe it's just me, which is mostly likely the case here, but I didn't find AF really worth while.  Anyone know a good place to be taught how to fully use AF? I'm not a programmer, seems like you almost need to be to make certain things work, and would like to give it a second shot.

Didn't you try the 3.x configuration?  It starts an emulation with a hardfile that has some software already installed.  If you read the documentation and look at the AF website you can learn how to use adf's (Amiga disk files) to load other programs into the emulation.

Are you familiar with the term RTFM!

If you order from Cloanto (handled via DigitalRiver.com) you can pay by wire transfer for an extra $3.00 on the price. In theory you can wire transfer money from anywhere in the world using the BACS system. Might e worth e-mailing them first to check though...

Amigadave -

I RTFM and still have problems, I guess thats why we have helpful forums like this one, so friendly people can help out the newbs and people like me who are out of touch with Amiga for the last 10 years or so....

ANYHOW. . .

I can navigate in Amiga Forever 6 just fine now, works great, but have come across an unfamiliar, or forgetten, problem.  I've loaded some .ADF games to my virtual Amiga drive, my local F:\ on my PC.  When I go to use it, with in the 3.x environment, the Icon to display the game is a Wrench first off, then when I double click the game disk 1 I get the following error -

Bandit Kings of Ancient China (1991)(Koei)(disk 1 of 2)(a).adf: File is not exacutable
Bandit Kings of Ancient China (1991)(Koei)(disk 1 of 2)(a).adf Failed returncode 10

Now, this means to me is that the game file is either not a playable game or is not reable by Win UAE.  I thought Amiga Forever was able to read .ADF files? Or am I doing something wrong in the way I load it for my Amiga Forever to read it?

Ed

AmigaForever is able to read ADF files, but you didn't give them to AmigaForever but to the emulated Amiga. This does not work. ADF files are not executable files, they are images of floppy disks. As such you have to insert them into the emulated floppy drives. Press F12, go to the floppies page and insert the ADF into one of the available drives. Then click on Reset in order to boot from the floppy disk.

Bye,
Thomas

@EdPon,

You are right, these forums are very helpful to beginners and I should not berate you for not being Amiga literate.  I think your biggest challenge is to stop thinking in Windows terms, which is evident by trying to double click an xx.adf file to start a program.  Amigas are different, very different!  Amiga Forever 2005 is worth every cent and more.
