Title: Amiga 1000 keyboard question
Post by: roguebeck on October 06, 2005, 04:27:15 AM
Will a standard telephone cable work for connecting the keyboard to the Amiga 1000? The telephone (handset) cable fits just fine, but since I don't have a kickstart or workbench cable yet I haven't been able to test it.

Also anyone have an idea where I can get a mouse? I see some listed on ebay, but I want to make sure I get the right type for my sytem.

TIA.

Yup standard handset phone jack works fine.

Standard Amiga mouse will also do the trick.

btw roguebeck... On Monday I will send off the stuff you need. :)

Note that it's the "handset" cable, not the "phone to the wall" cable. Also, any Amiga mouse will work, it's just that the A1000 mouse had a right-angle connector, probably to stay clear of possible expansion boxes.

Excellent, I am on my way to WalMart to get a handset cord (my wife demands that the one I had remain on the phone...geeze).

I'm sure ebay will be the only place for me to locate a mouse.
