hi just bought a cd32 off ebay .made a psu adaptor and nothing happened. So I opened it up and the cd rom connector was pulled out and the connector from the front panel was pulled out so I reconnected those. Also from the panel display their is a short purple wire with a brass clip with a screw hole could be some type of earth but not sure ,could someone tell me where this should be connected to please.I probably purchased a dud but would like to try it out anyway.
Also would the 3.1 kickrom be used in an a600 if it is buggered thanks.

Don't know about the other stuff, but the Kickstart is CD32 only. It's a 1MB chip IIRC, containing custom CD32 stuff in addition to the 512kB 'normal' Kickstart.

okay thanks for that I plugged it in without that wire connected and it booted up,but the cdrom isnt working so that is probably why it was disconnected.Someone had a look to see what was going on inside looks like I have to find a cdrom for it.

you will need to source a cd-rom from another cd32 unfortunatley as does not use a standard interface. AFAIR its a modified scsi cd-rom

vesalia.de have them in stock, and IIRC there's one on ebay.com right now.
