Title: Help with Autoconfig IDs - Impact A2000-HC+8 Series II
Post by: seanys on September 28, 2005, 04:30:49 PM
Hiyas,

I've just got a GVP Impact A2000-HC+8 Series II that is playing part dead.

The early boot diag is showing Autoboot IDs 2017/10 as defective and 2017/11 as working.

I'm assuming one is the RAM and the other is the the SCSI controller. Trouble is, which is which?

Or doesn't it matter and if one's dead the whole card is useless?

Sean.

2017/10 is the RAM.  Not sure if you can use one part of the board without the other.

@adolescent

Thx. I'll start replacing/removing SIMMs and see if that makes any diff.
