Post by: nahoo7 on September 24, 2005, 04:48:45 PM
hi all I have seen a few pcmcia memory cards for sale and am wondering if they will suit my a600 as i need expansion ram for it.I have no knowledge of these cards and wish to know if they are made to suit specific systems or are they suitable for amigas.I have seen a newton 16mb card in a shop, but I dont know if it will work on the a600 any help would be appreciated thanks.

I think there's a limit to the PCMCIA cards that you can use. The Amiga's slot is 16bit and most cards are 32bit. So you'd probably need an older one.

I've got no idea what type of card the Newton uses or if they're even compatible, but the A600 and A1200 can't use more than 4Mb of SRAM in the PCMCIA slot.
