Title: Interested in an A2024?

I'm playing with the thought of giving my A2024 (http://www.amiga-hardware.com/showhardware.cgi?HARDID=863)  aka Hedley (still in very good condition) a new home.
It's the PAL version (works in both PAL and NTSC modes but due to minute clock differences needs a PAL Amiga) and comes in it's original box. Manual and disks are probably somewhere around, too (not necessary for operation). Geometry is not the very best, but all A2024s had that problem.

For those not familiar with this rare piece of hardware:
- grayscale 15" monitor
- integrated flickerfixer (overscan somewhat limited)
- integrated graphics board (!) w/ 1024x1024 (PAL) / 1024x800 (NTSC), up to 4 grayscales
- runs with any Amiga, does not need any internal modification
- 1+ MB Chip recommended
- wide native support w/ Workbench 2.x upwards, Shapeshifter, ...

Hi,

I'm somehow interested. I've bought an A2024 via eBay at the begin of the year but unfortunately it seems to be defect :-(
The A2024 should be able to display the standard PAL-modies like LORES, HIRES, HIRES LACE,..or I'm wrong?
Mine only shows a picture in the special A2024 mode and the geometry is very lousy.

So if yours is not too expensive, I would want to purchase it. It would be attached to my A3000T used as second monitor for debugging purposes and that software that needs a native Amiga screen.

Yes, it works for all 15 kHz modes except Super Hires (which it samples as Hires) and double scans/flicker fixes them (in fact it even quad scans as it's a 60 kHz fixed frequency monitor).

What happens to your standard modes? Garbage on the screen or no display at all? Maybe your overscan is just too wide, try without!

It shows no display at all. I've tested it with an A3000 and an A4000.
