Post by: nahoo7 on September 20, 2005, 09:21:25 AM
hi all, my a1200hd40 i bought off ebay turned up today.I am very happy with it as it has an accelerator card and extra 4 mb of ram for $108.00 au so I think I did very well .The only fault is that when I put a disk in df0 the drive keeps spinning, and it doesnt read the disk.Df0???? shows up on the screen , does it need a clean or can I replace it with an a500 internal floppy as I have a few of these thanks.

Check if the floppy drive ribbon cable is still correctly in place. Cleaning the drive wouldn't hurt either, could be a pile of dust somewhere in the dark.

Use a can of compressed air to blow out the dust, and run a cleaning disk afterwards, maybe even run it a couple of times.
