Has anyone used the electronic type data transfer switches ?
I was using a manual type to switch between my Amiga and
my Windows box (Keyboard/Mouse/Monitor) (A KVM switch)
My first switch lasted a year or so then crapped out so I
bought a new one. This new switch only lasted a few days
and already its getting flakey.
I'm wondering about the electronic type, they're much more
expensive (about $75.00 US) compared to the manual type
(about $15.00 US). Are they worth the price and how reliable
are they ??

I've had a Belkin OmniCube KVM switch for a good 5 or 6 years now. It's been perfect. Never a glitch, and less signal loss/degredation than the old manual switches, too.
I don't run the mice through it as I use a USB mouse on the PC. But keyboard and video have been switching between Amiga (or, currently, SGI) and PC for the entire time I've had it.
I can't speak for others, but mine has been 100% reliable, and though I cringed spending that much for a KVM switch, it's turned out well worth the money.

Ummm... it will be twice as expencive for me :-D
I have to buy 2 of them ..(for my wife and myself.)
The A3k I just setup for my wife is turning into a bit
of cash. (its the only way I could keep her off my A3k :-D )
