Title: WHDload under 3.5? mooooooooo :(((
Post by: Chain on September 14, 2005, 09:48:41 AM
I have a little problem with WHDload games:

desktop C A1200, just blizz 1230-IV with 16meg

a) os 3.1 installed from scratch,

b) now some whd games, ie cadaver,
everything works well so ive decided to ...

c) install os 3.5 (i have 10gb drive and 3.5 provide correct setpatch)

whd games now make only black screen - no error requester, no sound, nothing  :pissed:

is there any problem to run whdload under 3.5?
(MMU option is always in my tooltypo)

any help welcome, but no stupid q please  :-(

Check with another version of whdload. Or, fire up snoopdos, it might turn up something.

Hmm, I think snoopdos has the ability to write a log to a file, maybe you could try that. It should output something up untill the lock.

If that doesnt work, then I would suggest you contact the whdload devs. There are some options you can turn on to provide debugging info to them.

i have a similar prob with os 3.9.

it might be my versions, but if i make a bootable partition with games on it, (made bootable in hdtoolbox & has just the wb floppy copied over), then boot from this, some of them work fine

maybe i'm missing something
