Title: Force scandoubler
Post by: Brian on September 11, 2005, 07:05:05 PM
I have this problem with my CV3D+Scandoubler combo that sometimes the monitor switching between workbench and a started game or what not doesn't kick in and one's left with a black screen. Anyone know if there's a way of forcing the switch to take place, other than turn wb to amiga mode first or turn to a manual external swith?

So to where is you monitor connected ? To the scandoubler or to the CV3D and how are the jumpersetting on the scandublermodule ? Those setting determine, if the "mixed" output will be send to the scandoubler or the CV3D, or that it will not be mixed at all.
How are your CGX setting regarding PASSTHROUGH NOPASSTHROUG variables ?

Connected a VGA monitor to the scandoubler, jumpers set to pass everything trough that port. Works for Almost everything. I use Picasso96.

Hmm, if it works usually I have no clue. I could point to P96 and that it might handle monitorswitching a little different then CGX, but that is only speculation.
Why do you use P96 anyway ? For the CV3D the "native" RTG system would be CGX.

I use P96 due to a few things... 1 it's free, 2 I'm used to it and know what to do with it, 3 CGFX4 seem to produce a garbage horisontal line at the buttom of the screen.
