What do I need to get a Ethernet card working on my old A1200 (finally decided to get my lazy ass moving and try to to use the Ethernet card I have had lying around for over a year ;- ) ).
It is Dayna Comunications 10Mbit card, I also have a Farallon 10Mbit but I miss the little wire you connetct the network cable into for that one :-( .
Main reason for linking it with my PC is to Copy the HD.

You will need:
1) cnet.device (aminet)
2) an NE2000 compatible ethernet card
3) a TCP/IP stack (Miami or Genesis or summat)
4) Samba or FTP or something to copy the HDD
Feel free to shoot me down in flames if i've forgotten something :-)

I will post more on this later.
I am trying to network a A1200.
I have a card that (I think) is compatible coming from Ebay. It's a linksys 10MB/s.
When I succeed, I will post a tutorial in the tutorial section of the forums.

Yes, you need cnet.device, miami/miamidx/amitcp and i would prefer ftpmount, mftpII or any other ftpclient for amiga. Then search for "Pablo ftp server" for the pc (It's a free, extremely cool ftp) and you're on! :-)
The reason i would not use samba, is that it is big, slow and sluggish.
