After some days one f*cker answered that he can sell this board for 50GBP.
I was AGAIN ask him if its 1230-IV (with photo, etc), and he says "Yes, thats it".

In what way cheated? What did you get then? The bag in the photo says 1230 4 (IV) to me.... Or what didnt you get?
EDIT: Darn my slow typing....
So its a mkIII. The only difference between the two being the amount of RAM you can add, or am I being totally wrong... again...
-
I'm guessing it's a III....
Scrathed the revision too....
-
Looks like a Blizzard 030/50 MkIII to me... But going on the fact that the bag it came in says Mk4 then I'd assume the seller genuinely thought it was a Mk4...
-
Oh, now I see what he has done. Does it mean you can't put a SCSI module on it because it is MKIII?
Edit: wait, I will check for myself all the differences between MKIII and MKIV on BBOAH
-
If you are after a MkIV and the MkIII you have is in good working order and includes an FPU I'll do a straight trade with you for my Blizzard 1230 MkIV, you just pay postage both ways.
-
And i will got MKII?
-
@ Ryu
That is a generous offer, considering the differences between MKIII and MKIV (which I now appreciate)
Edit: but it would be useful to find out if the seller knew it was a MKIII or not.
-
Yeah, well my mark4 is only used it my webserver A1200, and 32mb of ram is plenty for it.. but i would like an fpu for ixemul stuff.
So I thought i'd try and help out by offering a straight swap.
But if you can sort it out with the guy you orriginally baught it from then try and do that...

there is it
and it works, man thats a speedup

I will try, gimme a little more time.
First i must drink something cold and smoke somethink good...
but im glat it works, only 8meg simm, but it doeznt matter, you already have 32mb.
-
i want fpu too, this was my requirements :( so i dont know what i will do now. 60GBP is in da ass and i got only MKIII.
edit: and i already have MKII. itsa crazy situation, i dont like amibench, i will never buy somethink there.
and all of you was warned!
-
Well Ive done countless transactions through AmiBench and Ive yet to have a problem with any of them.
I prefer AmiBench over ebay because at least there you get hardware at real prices rather than the stupid ammount things go for on ebay.
@Chain
Well if you dont want to let the FPU go I wont be interested in helping you out.
-
Actually there isn't much difference in the MKIII and the MKIV. The MK4 can have more memory and can have more memory added on it's SCSI controller. But seeing you have the full MKIII (50Mhz instead of 40MHZ EC) you won't notice much speed difference.
Also, I have not yet found a 128MB SIMM which fit's the MKIV without having to use rubberbands, far from ideal.
If you want the SCSI controller then yes, a IV is better available then the MKIII scsi...
But seeing that the bag was labeled MK4 could mean it was a genuine mistake. Altough the fact the rev label is scratched out worries me a little....

He cheated on me!
Wanted ! dear or alive ! (i prefer dead)
btw already have scsi for MK IV and now its useless, blizzard and scsi too, F*CK!
-
Then maybe you should consider accepting Ryu's (generous!) offer... Then it will only cost you a 68882 instead of a whole Blizzard IV...
-
Ul :-(
Isn't that the second time you've had a problem with a 1230 purchase? you bought one and it didnt work or something?
-
generous? im not sure
i can offer:
A) Bliz MK II 40MHz, 68882-50MHz 2*16MB (Cost 45)
B) Bliz MK III 50Mhz, 68882-50MHz 16MB (Cost me 60GBP)
i think generous will be A) for MK IV without fpu.

edit: and i already have MKII. itsa crazy situation, i dont like amibench, i will never buy somethink there.

Well, that is your choice I believe, but I haven't had any bad experiences on Amibench myself; only one. Someone claimed to have two brand new CD32 controllers, and when they showed up they were certainly not brandnew. He was using a tiscali.co.uk email adress as well, so there are big chances that you have been dealt with the same person as I have.
Anyway, just know which persons you can trust, and who you can't. If an offer is to good to be true, then in 99% of the cases it is. Another reason for the high prices I charge, compared to other people...

@Chain
My offer is as I have already stated, my MkIV Blizz 030 without FPU, for your MkIII with FPU and you cover the shipping cost both ways.
Seeing as 2 people already here say its a generous offer then I tend to agree with them.
Im not urgently needing an FPU so I dont really mind if you dont take me up on my offer, it'll just mean I wont need to disconnect my webserver A1200, dismantle it, package up the mkIV and post it off to you... So infact it'll save me a headache.
Balls in your court
Oh and im sure anyone here will say I am trustworthy.
Edit: oh I wont be needing the ram either, I'll just put my 32mb stick on it.
I might have a 64MB stick for sale if you'd be intersted in that for say £10 with the mkIV.
Thats all im doing, imo im being generous as is.
