Title: AD1012 and other Amiga Sound Cards...
Post by: sdesros on March 20, 2003, 05:17:39 PM
(Some of you might have seen this on Moobunny.)

After spending some time neglected due to its instability, I managed to get my A4000D back up and running.

Currently in the system is a CyberVision 64/3D and flicker fixer, a Sunrize AD1012, an Xsurf and CyberStorm MKIII 060, 64megs of ram.

I've given up on using my Delfina Lite card (it just never seemed to work right for me ever since I've got it, although it worked great at the store and never crashed while I was there.)

HOwever, the AD1012 seems to work pretty well, except that it doesn't seem to have an AHI driver for it.  "Sunrize" is listed on the AHI site though, so I'm not sure where I can get the supported version.  Is it in the AHI 5 beta?

I'd like to put up a bunch of the hardware I've got up for grabs in the classified section, but I'm more interested in a trade then a sell (probably for a non-delfina AHI supported soundcard. :P)  I guess I"ll hop over there.

The AHI driver is for the Sunrize AD516 and is on Aminet.  There is no driver for the AD1012.

I have a Toccata sound card that I am very happy with. Quality wise it is very good.  It has a AHI driver and is designed to work with the VLabMotion video capture card.  The Toccata is only half duplex though.

Yes, apparently there were one or two made?  I'd downloaded the AD516 driver just to see but it won't work with the AD1012 (worth a try).

I'm not really recording much on the Amiga anyway so a half-duplex card wouldn't be a problem.

I would have been more then happy with my Delfina Lite (especially with some of the DSP programs available like the MP3 decoder), but it's just a pain since it's not stable for me.

Anyone else have a Delfina Lite?
