Title: UnRar 3.x pPC (warpos or Pup) ????

the topic says it all, i belived there was a wos version or even a ppc version of this tool/extractor.... was i wrong? , i cant find it on aminet...only found some lame 2.50 version which is too old for me.

68k versions i rather not use (i have 3.10b of 060 version)

can anyone provide me a link or something?

There definitely is. I once ported and uploaded it to Aminet.
Filename was I think either unrarWOS or unrarPPC, not sure anymore...

try searching on http://ftp.uni-paderborn.de using the Search function.

ok..i searched before i typed this first post, it seems there is no ppc port of 3.x only 1.x and 2.x , and since all rar archives theese days are more or less 3.x means i cant extract it..unless i use 68k...argh.. or mos , i rather have a WoS version or puP even.

There isnt a WOS or Pup version of UnRAR3, I've looked myself and couldnt find one, there is a MOS version however :(. I even spoke to naTmeg to see if he could do us one, but he doesnt do C++ which I think is the language UnRAR is in.. so...

However I do use the 68k version, which is slow but its okay so long as you remember to set the task priority of the shell your running it in to -1, means you can still IRC and UnRAR at the same time :-)

i think someone gotta do a port right away as the 68k speeds are useless , atleast if u have a ppc aswell, 2.50 unrar's like i dunno... 20 times faster than 060 unrar ? ...might be more...

one thing is for sure, this is an essential tool, and a ppc version should have been out long ago..

shame that i dont know diddly squat about c++.
