Maybe I'm out of toch but I've just seen a 4000 going for £510 on ebay (KB + Base), its untoched and totally standard!*!
Is this expensive or the going rate for a 4000?
Looky HERE! (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=98930&item=8205331049&rd=1)

I doubt you'll see many A4000s with all the gubbins that came with them, manuals etc, and original packaging for sale - someone obviously did think it worth 500 quid, I would've put it more around the 200 quid mark myself, but as ever, things are worth what someone's willing to pay for them...

I think the price was due to the seller playing the "boxed practically since new" (whatever that means) card. But even from the pictures it's obvious that there's some yellowing... I dunno. "Box is as new" might have been more accurate. ;-)

Normally it means it's never had the battery removed/replaced and you know what that means... :-x
Although the seller does say in the Q+A's that it hasnt, which is pretty lucky considering the number of reports on dead/corroded motherboards.

I'd love a 4000 but there's no way i'd pay 500 quid for one! I'd rather buy a new SGI box for that amount of cash ...

Will anyone give me £200 for my CD32 then? I'll send them 2 new box's!

OK then...3 box's
