One of our members is having great difficulty with getting
Picasso emulation working on his A1 (with UAE). Can any
of you early adopters out there give him some suggestions?
He is running an ATI Radion, I believe. He is having some
difficulty posting to the A1 mailing list, so please post replies
here. We will be meeting Thursday night, if you have any
suggestions, we are all ears. He is somewhat frustrated
because he would like to run UAE fullscreen (not in a tiny
window).

I know that under Linux UAE must run as root and have fullscreen support compiled in to run fullscreen in Xwindows.
Personally I don't like my programs running as root - so I upped the resolution to the same as my Xserver - the effect is pretty much the same as full screen.
(I use AmiWm in Xwindows - so it's pretty aesthetic as well).
With SVGA it would (theoreticall) have to run root as well - but I'm having some probs compiling it, so I can't comment on this route.
Cheers.
Siggy.

Thanks for the info, I'll pass it along.
Where does one find AmiWm? I believe
he is using KDE 2 for his windowing en-
vironment. We are all kind of new to
Linux, so we tend to get lost in the ex-
planation sometimes.
