anyone know where to get it? i need 8-16pieces for oktagon, a3000t etc :)
is it possible to use zip chips from any 4/8MB ram card for a1200? (those crappy cards for nothing good)
-
I have found some on softhut:
http://www.softhut.com/cgi-bin/test/Web_store/web_store.cgi?page=catalog/hardware/memory/memory_index.html&cart_id=1216457_24938
but they didn't reply me for months. Besides, they are in USA, so shiping cost might be high..
:-?

I sell some ZIP's on german eBay. I would send them outside from germany if needed :-)

Perfect recycling :-), have you ever built such adapters in past ?

It might be easier to build a simple zip to simm adaptor board.

And where would one for the schematics for said adaptor? Trying to track downs ZIPs downunder is a nightmare, not to mentions extemely expensive, last time I checked, 8MB's worth was AU$400 :-o

no schepatic, only pin to pin connections, and yes, its simpliest than adapt a large simm socket.
there is something similar:

There were two commercial Zip to Simm adapters. Both I think called AmiFast, one by ProV and the other by UK company RamJam (might be the same one and two vendors).
It would probably be cheaper to buy an accelerator or a DKB3128 nowadays though :(

The picture (http://chain.3dgrafika.cz/temp/miss.jpg) Chain shows is Chipmem, is there any zipp2simm for Chipmem?
The other boards that are mentioned is for Fastmem(I have one from RamJam in my A3KD, it doesnt fit on the A3KT fastmem sockets.) :-)

Being only 2Mbytes, I guess they thought that no-one would ever want one. I am sure you can beg / borrow just one ZIP?
