I won a copy of Trapped II off ebay (#8198290508) which arrived yesterday. It looks suspiciously like a copy to me as there's no instructions, covers aren't clear and the cd is poorly printed. The seller is pleading ignorance and suggested that most newer release amiga games were like that due to the money involved in professional duplication. After reviewing some of his older feedback I think he's talking bullsh*t but can anyone else that has the game confirm whether the covers etc are poor quality? If he is lying then I'm going to report him to FAST.

lol. I doubt anything at all will happen by reporting him to any agency.. its only $8.. eat it and be happy you have a game.

hiya
i must confess that i have seen a lot of "later" produced Amiga software and a lot of it does look VERY pd or home made, due to the lack of funds developers had towards the end of the dominant Amiga period, so in closing, its probably an original........enjoy the game!

Trapped 2 was a proper printed cd (not a label etc) and professionally done, should look 100% real.
Should also Include an A first in the serial number on the backside of the cd to prove its an Amiga set.
who is the seller and do u have a proper link?
manual is on the cd itself btw.
there is a few sellers out there who sell pirated Amigacds and movies (dvd) ...

JuvUK:
i have EVERY game since 99 and all bought from the real producers and only 4 games looks abit "off"
1. Joyride
2. Land Of genesis.
3. Star Fighter 'D'Yammen Reign
4. Aqua (Jewel Case version, there is a dvd case too and thats better)
and then u have the EPIC UK (ALIVE)fake {bleep}:
1. Ultra violent worlds
2. Tin Toy Cd
3. Abuse
4. xtreme racing CD
5. Mutantlogy
6. Phoenix Fighters
7. Goal 2000
8. Xenon 2 Cd - FAKE - (its a reproduction of cdtv and its illegal though they claim they have the rights to produce it.)
9.
(and a few others)
so it sounds to me like u have been screwed pretty good there..
also:Trapped 2 was from 96/7 and at that time CD games on Amiga sold pretty good and it wasnt first until 99 there appeared "cheapish looking" copy look cds/cases.
-
At that price I'd be content. As a collector...
...I'd expect to spend a LOT more.

Trapped II is one of the best 3D games for Amiga. It should be in original box and everything. The cd-cover was not cheap made at all, but proffesionally done.
Trapped II is far more advanced than Quake 1, and still it beats Quake in any framerate. Playing the game on 68060 is wonderfull.

I can confirm that this guy is selling fakes.
Have bought a bunch of games from him about a year ago, he sells the same batch of games as soon as the auction time has ended.
I guess his cd burner is running quite hot :-D

You have definately got a fake if it is on a CDR. I've dealt with this seller once before and never again he is a total idiot. He has been selling pirate software on ebay for a over year.

Also over feedback he leaves I expect he will give you bad feedback for complaining about his copies. As he usually gives bad feedback out if you leave him bad or neutral feedback and makes up lies about you if you complain about him.
