A question of graphics..
I have an RGB to SVGA Adapter which i would like to use on my towered A1200. Can anyone tell me if there is a TFT display that will support the display modes that an A1200 will produce? I was thinking about ultimately geting a PCI board and a graphics card, as i understand that this will mean that i can use a standard PC screen... so the adapter is really a stop gap until then..
Thanks in advance!

The standard RGB to SVGA adapter is a simple wiring adapter. For it to work with ANY SVGA monitor you must be running in a 31KHz mode. i.e. doubldouble NTSC.
In workbench DEVS/monitors you need to have the "double ntsc" icon (it might should be in devs/storage, move it) once you've done that you can go to prefs->screenmode and select double ntsc and plug into a SVGA LCD screen.
Note: Games wont work in double ntsc... only workbench
Your Amiga will be slow unless you have an accelerator
Double PAL wont work as it's 50Hz and most LCDs only sync as low as 60Hz

I used a NEC multisync 1801 at work, it's an 18 inch screen and takes rgb vdeo modes. It's got direct rgb (BNC) inputs as well ....nice..........rotates too....mmm.

@Tripitaka
Interesting!!! I have a 21" Sony monitor with the same RGB connectors on the back. I have tried using my C= Scandoubler to connect ot the monitor normally and of course it wouldn't sync to the required 15khz. Could you see the boot up process taking place when you hooked up using the RGB leads?
I'm wondering if it's worth my time making a suitable cable.
Love to see my 1200 on the Big Screen hehe :-D

I'm not using any "amiga screens" anymore,just graphicscard... But i thibk there is a utility to force a screenmode..so you can redirect every amiga screen to your gfx card? so,no need for old amiga screen modes! :)
