does any one know of a distro available of linux that will run through warpos on decently on a 040/25.

What do you mean through WarpOS? For PowerPC based Amigas there is Linux APUS (http://ftp.unina.it/pub/Amiga/apus/).
Linux sux anyway :P you better install netBSD...
AmigaOS RuLeZZZZzzzZzzz

If you wanna use WarpOs to run linuxPPC, then the speed of your 68040 doesn´t matter at all...

Hang on.....WarpOS for running Linux? :-? Erm....Linux is an OS, it takes over your complete machine. It's not an emulation a la Shapeshifter

Hmm, well there's LinuxAPUS as posted above. As for 68k Linux, I've got an ancient Redhat 5.x on CD here for Amiga m68k. I would presume it is still being updated, dunno tho. Tried a bit of googling?
