Post by: gizz72 on June 24, 2005, 08:32:09 AM
Greetings,

I notice, once in a while a link in a certain word in a thread becomes active, then when the mouse is on top a small window emerge! 'Ads by clicksor' then it disappears and reappears again! :-? Is this part of Xoops or ads starting to take over or can anyone do that? :-o

Greetings,

No only this site. It pops up randomly in a word. It becomes a link then it vanishes when you leave that thread or hit refresh. At the moment I'm using Opera. Not sure if it will pop up on an IE. You find the link inapproriate of the topic, that's the one! Hope you find it. So far after 2 topics i've discovered them, they don't show up anymore! I'm not sure yet about some other users would have the same experience here. Happy hunting anyway!

Regards,

@thread

Hmm - Whilst browsing around (in another thread) I got a cookie warning about clicksor.com wanting to set a cookie... so I blocked everything from that site.
Shortly after, I got another requester about a cookie for paypopup.com... again, block everything from them.

Perhaps A.org has sold out to the scum advertisers of the internet? I don't mind relevant Google-ads, but stuff like this is ridiculous. :-(  :pissed:
