Title: CU_AMiGA's Day (A Bank Holiday)
Post by: CU_AMiGA on June 23, 2005, 11:01:12 PM
Hey Yo!

Instead of the normal, boring Friday (http://www.amiga.org/forums/showthread.php?t=15766) that we normally have, tomorrow will be a very special day indeed. Tomorrow will be CU_AMiGA's Day (A Bank Holiday).

CU_AMiGA's Day will be good for:

Amigas
Amiga 1200
Retro Computers
Wayne Hunt And The Other Moderators
Amiga.org
And Of Course... The Great CU_AMiGA himself! :-D

Infact, tomorrow will be such an eventful day, that i command Wayne Hunt, and the other Amiga.org moderators can have a day off from Amiga.org! Also put the Great CU_AMiGA himself in charge of the Amiga.org running for the day.

Anyway, can anyone else guess what tomorrow will bring, and remember: BE PREPARED! BE VERY PREPARED! :-D

Regards,

Who is this CU_AMiGA guy? He seems pretty in your face to me, a bit like some of the actors I have had to work with.

Anyway, would be nice to have a chat with him sometime, and happy "CU_AMiGA Day" to you all.

@CU_AMiGA

You are making powerful enemies attempting to subvert Conniquisttag (aka FRRRRRRRRIIIIIIIIIIIIDDDDDDDDDAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!!!!) into your own holiday.

Be advised. Pick another weekday.

@Karlos

I'm sure he only wants 1 Friday. Let it be today. Give him his share of the limelight for once. Then we'll get back to our normal fridays next week.

I think we should settle the Whabang vs CU_Amiga thing in a gentlemanly manner. To this end I have made a short test (only five questions) and one essay type question, to see who is best suited to having ownership of the Friiiidaaaaay phenomenon. Here are the questions:

1) What is Whabang's middle name?
2) What is the population of Helsingborg?
3) What is CU_Amiga's post rank on Amiga.org?
4) What is Whabang's house number?
5) What colour is CU_Amiga's shirt in this picture (http://www.amiga.org/gallery/photo.php?lid=2149&cid=45)?

The essay question:

Describe in a short essay (about 800 words) how the Friiiidaaaay phenomenon makes you feel. To demonstrate proficiency, you must write this in a langauge other than English. Choose a language from the following list:

Zulu
Xhosa
Shangaan
Russian
Swedish
Dutch
German
Afrikaans
Japanese
Mandarin

As you can see, I have made these questions very fair, so that both contestants have an equal chance of success.

Well we're all for a televised event, but then we'd have the cleanup.  You can never underestimate the nastiness of cleaning up all that crap...  Then of course, we'd have the lengthy explanations to your mum's as to why one (or both of you) wouldn't be coming home again..

It's just not worth it.

It's gotta be pancakes everytime!

And I don't mind which type either.  I'm quite partial to the American/Canadian one's as well as our proper shrove tuesday pancakes.  Especially with maple syrup on them. Yum.

Stick some proper Cornish Dairy Ice Cream in there and you've got a deal :-)
(Walls or Hagen Daas doesn't count)
BTW, any chance of setting up a "Pot Noodle Thursday" ?
