OK I am rebuilding Amiga Inc, I am buying it and starting over with A1/0S 4, WHO IS WITH ME?
-
That's the spirit!
-
Ok we need donations, but first I will contribute 200,000$ to this project
-
So is anyone willing to make any further donations
-
haha {bleep} off
-
I think a moderator will gladly donate your username to the banned list. :-P
-
OK LORDDEF, DO YOU HAVE 34 MILLION DOLLARS?
-
I do not believe I need to be sent to this "banned list"
because I for one am doing nothing to harm you, but helping the Amiga International symbol, and what it stands for,
-
Does anyone have a large sum that they want to submit to help this powerful company grow?
-
@Cybertron:
Contact Skinner at 419eater.com (http://www.419eater.com). He will most likely be interested in helping you out.
-
x56h34: btw, I beat aka. "flipped" Bruce Lee, the game on the C-64. nice avatar..
-
I always used to say that if I won the lottery I would buy it.
But that was long ago before 3.9 and 4.0. The game has changed.
I like OS4. How and why would you start over?
Why don't you take that cash and talk to Hyperion, Eyetech
and Amiga Inc. and see what positive things could be done
to help Amiga. I know there's batch of PPC cpu's that
could be expidited with a cash "bribe" to IBM. That would
help Eyetech get the next batch of A1 systems out the door.
Donate to some of the software bounties, that would put much
life and progress into Amiga..... need more ideals, just ask.
@TheMagicM
Isn't your avatar a picture of Holger? :)

Doesn't he have trouble chewing the coins and getting paper cuts?
I'd hate to see or hear him/her when it comes out the other end :-P
-
sorry Cybertron but i dont agree.
I want DoomMaster as CEO of AmigaInc and Helgis to the PR, period. :-D
-
The Karma kitty has an iron constitution. He can handle anything you feed him. :)
-
@plaz
Isn't your avatar a picture of Holger? :)
Yes. Yes it is. I personally find it rather disconcerting, as well as disappointing since Holger is no longer around these days. It's a tribute I'd suppose. Either that, or Alex thinks Holger's haircut is kinda funny.

Well, tell us abit about your business background. There are certian things potential investor want and need to know.
P.S. I'm getting a bit of a clueless vibe. Normally, startups don't ask for donations to build the inital capital.
-
I just think his haircut is funny..thats why its in my avatar. nevertheless..I'll change it..no more chili bowl haircut.
-
My boss' haircut is 100% the same. He is a classic computer...let's say "enthusiast", thus the hairstyle. :-)
When I originally saw that avatar it gave me a chill, as for a second I thought it was him. :-) :-o
-
Hey Magic,
Please. Don't change it because of us. It's fine. I just miss having Holger around because he used to be so friendly and helpful with questions. Alas, his "last straw" with the Amiga shenanigans broke several years ago.
Wayne
-
sounds good, port it to affordable hardware while you are at it. ;)
-
Why stop there? Think bigger. Get about, say, $50 million together for inital costs. Buy out Amiga, Inc. from its investors and buy Genesi, then combine the two. Oh, then hire all the AROS developers.
-
This is not funny :-x
-
No sir, it's not funny. Well... In a dry "clueless" kinda way it is... Dunno. To each their own I suppose. While inane, I didn't really see the harm in letting someone post such a thread. After all, we all need a good joke now and then.

34 million? 50 million? Is this in Monopoly money? No way is Amiga, Inc. worth that much.

No. As I recall, they only put 4.5 into it, and haven't made a single improvement (or even protected) the brand over the last 5 years. Now, that being said, I wouldn't be surprised if you added it all up and Amiga Inc has SPENT that much money in schemes, rent, lost lawsuits and penalties, etcetera over the last 5 years.
I mean hell, based on the now infamous documents from the Genesi court case, they must owe McEwen alone like 5 million in back wages by now, right?
:-)

Or... we could make Amiga a name for the kitchen right!??!
I mean it has the Amiga logo, so it's all good right? Multi-tasking toaster ovens anyone?
