Title: Amiga video 23 pin D-Type female connector
Post by: gazsp on June 20, 2005, 01:35:01 PM
Does anybody know anywhere that stocks them? I'm making a scart lead, but I need a 23 pin D-Type Female connector.

I've tried Maplin and RS but they don't stock them. Somewhere in the UK or Europe would be good, but anywhere would be a start!

I've seen them at Mouser and Digikey (US) in the past... the easiest way is to take a 25 pin and slice off the two end pins with a saw or a Dremel. If you really want the holding screws to match up, saw it in half in the middle and grind off the two end pins on one half... ugly, but it works.

ESR Electronic Components (http://www.users.zetnet.co.uk/esr/index.html), Tyne & Wear, UK.

They do the connectors and proper 23-way covers too, very friendly, I used them before. The 23-way D stuff is in the Connectors->Multipole Data section of Products or Catalogue.
