Title: Help with WHDLoad on a real AMIGA (Amiga 600HD)
Post by: CodeHunter on June 19, 2005, 05:52:47 AM
When I either unRAR the file WHDLoad_usr.lha on PC and send it over, or send it just like that and use Amiga’s LHA 2.1 executable for AmigaOS to unLHA it on the Workbench, after it unLHA all the files, I click on the newly created WHDLoad icon to install it, but to my surprise, I get this message: "Unable to open your tool installer"
and I can’t go any further, do you know what to do to remedy this?

I am following the instruction on this page: (of course on a REAL Amiga not WinUAE thoghh)

http://amigos.amiga.hu/ancientoys/whdload_setup1.html

I really appreciate your assistance and many thanks in advance.

The guide does mention that you need "Installer" copied to C in your workbench partition.

If you dont have it in one of your wb disks, you can get it from aminet: http://www.aminet.net/package.php?package=util/misc/Installer-43_3.lha

(although I'm not sure it will run with kick 2.05)

yes it does run on 2,05 you have to unlha installer 43 then open the installer 43 drawer that was created then click on show all files and drag the installer icon to c.
