Title: Another old newbie
Post by: oleimann on May 28, 2005, 11:13:56 AM
I also got my Amiga 2000 in the late 80's (like: 1987)
I think I have forgotten more than I can remember...

I just dusted it off and put it back in working order after
buying a new Ethernet card for it, which also has an IDE
interface.
It's even still booting after all those years in "storage".

There is a lot of stuff I have to relearn or update, since
I have extended my A2000's hardware with a CD-R drive
and a network card and it's running Kickstart 3.0
Workbench 3.1, which I barely ever touched
(i.e. the "where is my Mountlist?" syndrome).

Unfortunately I had to remove the Bridgeboard and the
second internal 3.5i drive to keep two harddisks and the
CD-R. (on the other hand, MS-DOS is so pre-2K  :-P )

I was wondering if there is a good online reference and
(re-)introductoin for all OS/Application related stuff :-?

Cheers,
olaf.

Welcome aboard..

For online reference, why not post here  :-D

There's plenty to be found just on this site, if you check the links section you'll find more then 300 links that's should keep you busy for a while..

/edit
As you seem to be a cheesehead, why not pop over to www.amiga.nl. Not as big as this site but it's dutch ;-) Not that I'm posting much there tho...
