Title: Having the blues
Post by: Speelgoedmannetje on May 22, 2005, 11:47:08 PM
*snifff*
All my friends are away from town, and I'm here in my home, can't go anywhere 'cause I'm a bit sick... (flu) Can't concentrate on things I still have to do (http://www.amiga.org/images/subject/icon8.gif)
Only thing I got is Aorg (and whyzzat)

Can't you guys cheer me up? I mean can't you Cecilia, Whabang, T_Bone, Karlos, Odin, Cyberus, Wain, Gizz, Wayne, Dan, MDMA, CU, X54, Blobrana, Graffias, and whomever I forgot, please cheer me up? Luv y'all
*cough* *cough* *splut* (/me spits some blood) *slnrfff*
 :-(

Hum,
Are you sure it’s not the plague?

Anyway you should just go to bed with a hot water bottle and hopefully you’ll wake up tomorrow.

:concerned:

I do not get any black rash or something, so that should be okay, maybe it's phtisis...
I already drank gallons of hot Groc and tea...
Goin' to bed now
And if I do not post here for weeks from now on you know what happened this night.. You guys know who it was when the news says a rotten corpse has been found in a house in Groningen...
*snort*
oh, and btw how could I ever forget Glaucus and Wilse? :-?

*cough* *cough* thanks Blob for your concerns :-)
and now I'm really off to bed

Dude, look on the bright side. If you aren't dead already, it probably isn't ebola.

I was sick with a summer cold a few days back. Ick.

Get well soon matey :-)

Greetings,

@Speel

Cheerup dude! Drink lots of liquids, preferably water. Don't forget to prep a good chicken soup for your flu. It always works! :-D

I was sick with the same flu a few days back too. X-O It's the freaki'n weather here(el nino). Sometimes it rains so suddenly, the humid air makes you catch the sniffles!! Times like that you should catch some zzzz too. It's okey to leave your Amiga on while it watches you to recover... I always do that. ;-) Take care of your colds there.

Regards,

GiZz72

Hey Yo!

Poor Speel :-(

I got banned from #amiga.org chat the other day? Does that cheer you up! :-)

Regards,

Thank you guys for your sweet responses  *cough* *cough* I'll give that chicken flu soup idea a try (is curry soup also reccomendable?), and also I'll drink lots of water :-)

And no, CU, it doesn't cheer me up that kids nowadays are raised up by the internet... Erstwhile, things were a lot different I can tell you!  Back then punishments were more physical :whack: and less virtual :admonish:
/grandad mode ;-)

Eat loads of Heinz Cream of Chicken soup, smoke loads of the herb, and stay under the duvet to sweat it out.

You'll be better in no time at all! :-D

Why don't we have a funeral for Speel? Like they did for Bender in futurama... People always say nice things about you at your funeral!

And also I don't have any beerenburger left to make groc

Eyso,
Sorry to hear you're not well. I hate being ill, its the feeling of helplessness...

Anyway, get yourself some cheerful music, maybe something you haven't listened to in a while and a hot drink, that might cheer you up a little, or go and get some of your favourite food. I tell you what, we should all get on a plane and fly to the Nether Regions to visit Speely...

Guess it's a far nastier disease than Ebola, much slower in killing it's prey, causing much more suffering...

No, I use, as you can expect from a treehugger, camomile and other 100% natural products :-)

(btw. what's echinacea?)

It is a natural remedy for boosting the immune system.  Doesn't work as good as a strong vindaloo though! ;-)

it's ALL natural stuff. you wouldn't expect ME to suggest some yukky drug, would you?

the Alkalol stuff has ingredients from Australia. gargle with it and even drop some of it down your nose to clean your mucus and, i swear, you will never get a bad cold again.

i put in the link so you could see what the bottle looks like. sometimes you have to ask the ("drug") store to order it, but you can always get it online.

it's cheap and lasts a long time.

I love America!  Over here we just go to the "Chemists Shop" if we are ill, or maybe the "Pharmacists" if we are middle class.

In America you go to the DRUGSTORE!!

Oh, the drama! ;-)

That doesn't sound too good, I find that a shot Port or Sherry is a good way to ease a sore throat, plus if you drink enough of it, you might incure alcohol induced amnesia and forget that you were sick to begin with :-D Chin up and get well soon :-)

Schtop!

That sock isn't ready yet!

Come on, guys, what's the hurry? Why is it still mostly white? How come there are still some visibly flexible parts? Where are the multiple strata of dark, encrusted residues?

You can't rush these things you know...

I drink Groc, with lots of citron and Beerenburger (Dutch liquor, 30% alcohol, very unique taste), guess it'd have the same effect (but a plus is that it's hot)
