I have an Amiga 500 (working) system for sale. It comes with the system itself, the PSU, external floppy drive and a copy of Workbench 1.3. The top cover of the A 500 is not screwed on but fits perfectly on the system and does not affect functionality.
I am wanting only 44$ for it.

That is not cheap, that is a tad on the high end! I recently got a A500 on here for FREE! (Paid for s/h) Now that is cheap!

How about 20, or 15$?
-
Well that is better. Hopefully someone wants it. It would help if the case was screwed on! Sorry not trying to be an arse. I got a nice A500 here from a member for free and it was in great shape. Thanks Dethknight!

I'd love to know what happened to the A500 we had a Thendic, it was part a complete museum of Commodore stuff sold of cheap to some guy at the bankruptcy auction. (A nice guy it turns out because when I asked him about some pictures he just gave the to me without even looking at them - these were the drawings of the alternate versions of the Walker).
Anyway, the A500 was a 1988 model in absolutely mint condition. I doubt if it'd ever been powered up. I opened the box to take a picture (see the intro to MorphOS doc) and I doubt it'd ever been opened before then, I put it back the way I found it so you can't tell.
No idea what happened to it or the rest of the collection though.

@ TjLaZer
no problem, Im sure its doing you more good than it was doing in my shed collecting dust
Maybe if I get the A2000HD running I can push it off on somebody also
The 1040ST may or may not be set free Im undecided
I have to clean the nasty-grungy Apple II-E in there also and see if it boots, but itsa massload of hardware, printers monitors, drives, etc

Would anyone like the A500 w/ external floppy, AND a Macintosh LC II, with monitor, modem mouse and keyboard. is setup for dialup internet, has MacTCP, and all needed internet software, including Mosaic for Mac (latest version for Mac 68k) IRC Client as well. Has System 7.1.1
Im asking 15.00$

I would suggest you list it on a auction place like ebay or similar. I think you will have much better luck getting what you want there, if not even more.
I would have personally been interested if you lived somewhere near me.

Put in on eBay is my advice. With the extra drive it should fetch at least $15.00. I'd list the Mac system separately.

If we're going to be bringing collectibles up, I was in e-mail contact with that guy eBaying the "black box," and he seems legit, at least to the point of offering me a look at it if I can assist in diagnosing its condition/proving it's real.
That said, none of the people I've bothered about it have responded, so if anyone wants to try to get involved in that (I don't exactly have a Kickstart 1.x disk set to loan the guy, or any information on the general requirements to boot that hardware)... I don't know, drop me a pmail or post here or start a thread or something. (I'm within driving distance of the unit, but I'm not sure my finances are up to trekking around unless I know I'm going to get anywhere with it, in terms of seeing it boot.)

No one seems to be biting on my auctions on this stuff.
Im about to throw this stuff out. Or it goes into the attic and doesnt come back. if anyone wants this stuff, the amiga, the disks or the mac or all three, 10$. otherwise, trash or attic.
-
Man, I'd take them, but postage to Australia might be a bit high  Good luck with it though.
-
please, don't throw them away. amiga is not something to put into thrash. You would really regret doing that some years later. Here in japan, I saw an amiga 500 system go for $500. they're not being produced since late nineties, so they becoming rare items day by day. please have some patience, and you will have a good reward some day. just put it in the attic, make sure it doesn't dust, because it decreases the price it will fetch.
here is the link to the $500 amiga auction page at yahoo japan auctions.

How long can you wait? I'm out of cash right now and it might be a while before I have enough. Can't promise anything.
Also, what is the total weight of the hardware, or shipping cost estimate?
-
Well, you're in luck.
I am interested in some of this stuff, and have money.
But I do have some questions about the A500, but I am interesting in making a purchase.
-
why would you throw the A500 away when I gave it to you for free? at least get rid of it for shipping costs.
