One period left to play, and the scores are 4-3.

We have several very luuurverrrly Swedish nurses here and I can honestly say I wouldn't care if they were crap at everything...they're very easy on the eye and that counts for a lot.

"...A nation with an even sillier and more uncomprehensible language than the Swedes . No wonder he moved ..."

-----------------------------------------------------------

He looks very pale for a Zulu, judging by his Faces of AO picture.

Edit...hey, that reminds me, Whabang, how are the pictures going, eh?  ;-)

Actually, I am born in Sweden. I'm mostly Danish and Dutch, however.

I would say Dutch is more understandable to an Englishman than swedish.  Especially in written form.

I believe Danish is also a teutonic derived language, but havent really heard it spoken so i dunno if it sounds ridiculous though.

Just had a look at danmark.dk (http://danmark.dk).

You're right, it looks like gibberish! ;-)

That explains why Geordies talk with a gob full of marbles then.  The North East of England was ruled by the King of Denmark for many years.

Well, Danish and Swedish (and Norwegian too, for that matter) are basically the same language. There are a few differences, but as long as it doesn't go too fast, Swedes and Danes speak without the need of an interpreter.

Dutch is basically English, French, German and Danish mixed up. :-P

Heheh

I'd say that English is German, French, Latin, and Old Norsk mixed up. :-D

That could be why dutch is quite easy to read for an Englishman.
