Title: tv card brand? mediator only black/white

Want to get this card working.
Pciinfo says vendor 109e Brooktree Corporation device id=$878.
Card is working normal no matter what for a brand I choose when doing Medconfig but only black/white.
Anybody got a clue here as the card itself seems in a working order.
What for a type of card should I choose from(tried hauppage(bt878) and others with the 878 chipset.
Also no audio out of the card.

A lot of TV cards uses the bt878. Isn't there any writing or label on the card to help determine the producer of the TV card?

I can use several prefs file for my TV card, but only two of those I have tried gave me audio output. As soon as you install the correct prefs file audio will be enabled.

Is your card the correct PAL or NTSC?  I tried a PAL signal through my NTSC TV card and got a stable clear picture, but in black and white.

Ok did find out the brand type etc..
It is a Guillemot Maxi tv video 3 (pal bg SECAM).
It should work according the elbox site not reported though.
When I install my only maxipci2 driver tv card I get some colors but It isnt possible to focus the picture just like a nearly focussed tv and no sound still.
I browsed around on the elbox site and found that the tv.library is 4.0 at the moemt against mine 3.4.
Send them a email if I missed a update somehow?
Do you guys have a maxi tv video 3 prefs to install in your updates?
What is your version of tv.library?
