Title: A3000 daughter board
Post by: weirdami on April 24, 2005, 12:45:29 AM
I have a "COMMODORE A3000 DAUGHTER BD REV 5" that I'm going to sell pretty soon. I'll link to the picture I put in the gallery once the moderator dudes approve it. What can I put in an ebay description for this sort of thing (what does it do)? How much is it worth? I'll consider selling it to someone on here, but if no takers, I'll ebay it in maybe a week. It's already in a priority mail shipping box, so that's the method you get if you're in the USA. International folks will force me to repack it. :-P

It's a standard daughterboard found in desktop A3000s.  Not sure of the worth, maybe $20?

So, anyone who needed one would already know what it's for? I was guessing it was the deal that you plug all your cards into, but I didn't want to be a wild guesser type. :-)

I'd say, if you don't know what it is you have no use for it...

@weirdami

those daughter card, its part of every A3000D (not an option).

The A3000D doesn't even starts without it . . . so its good only as spare part for an A3000D user.

Its value is relative . . . if an user need it, would be ready to spend . . .don't know, about 20 EUR or so :-)

Is the "D" optional?

'D' as in Desktop model - in contrast to 'T' as in Tower model. The A3000T didn't have a daughterboard and had no use for it.
