HERE (http://www.kdh-amiga-shop.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=361&products_model=&osCsid=c7112769af27f2ae2d181d4ce5e73a08)
Maybe it's old news (?), sorry if it's the case. By the way, the same date is referenced for the BlizzardPPC version.

Amiga announced tonight that AmigaOS4 is not ready and will not be ready by CeBit and they will not be attending!
The bad News (http://os.amiga.com/)
Loki :-(
-
Oh well, at least an official announcement has been made to put an end to some of the conjecture.
-
@Jose
This product will be in stock on Thursday 01 May, 2003.
KDH and Vesalia have been given these unrealisticly optimistic release-dates since last september or so. Usually those times are 2-4 weeks ahead, now hey have apparently forgotten to update their page.
@Loki
Well.. it's been known a long time they did not book any booth there, and that OS4 has been way late. So, it should not be surprice to anyone anymore.
Sad thing that is has to happen, but apparently they did not know in november how long this all would take.
(me just wonders how soon someone calls this a Fud) :-P

Because there's an explanation on the official Amiga Inc website, there's no reason for anyone to call this Fud. Or are you just waiting for a flame war? ;-)
-
@Vincent
I have noticed that whatever one says on these forums, there is allways someone to yell *Fud* ... :-(
-
Lemme be the first:
FUD! So there :-P.
Actually I still believed A Inc would be present at ceBIT, but I really am not surprised. I do love their style of communication though. One week before the show someone at AInc must've figured they really had to say that they weren't coming; as if they didn't know for ages they wouldn't go.
What bunch of nitwits :roll:.
-
C'mon Odin, don't call Amiga Inc, "A bunch of nitwits." They have shown a definate lack of responsability towards their customer base, but name-calling is not necissary.
-
The sad thing is, I believe Amiga, Inc. really believes they are going to be releasing something soon.
Maybe they even think after its released, its going to save them or something.
its darn near sad.
I'm serious....I don't even find any humor in making fun of Amiga, Inc. anymore, oh I mean I still do it, but the hearts not in it. It's like kicking a sleeping dog.
-
Sorry, but whats the suprise ?
The last chance to book a both on the CeBit had passed weeks ago.
Even if, organizing such a events takes time.
Ben said just 2 weeks ago that they still hadn't a working
68k-Emu in OS4.
So anybody who still believed in a CeBit appearance deserves...
yeah you know what .....
Party on ;-)
@Joanna
What do you mean forget to update ? The new date is 7 in weeks
this time :-?

Sorry... MY goofus.. I read that date on annoucement as 1st MARCH. :-( :-( :-(
Thanks for pointig it out.. I think it's not essential to main point of message so I'll leave it as it is and don't do any history rewriting. Mistakes do happen.. :-)

I remember a story about the former president of Commodore UK selling C= memorabelia some years after the CUK deal to buy out Commodore fell apart. The tone here is similar, too similar.

No, that's just nasty of me to say.
Rather, I'll say "Too bad. It's a shame they couldn't get it out the door this time. Maybe next year."
