You can find it in the Drivers & Installations section on the http://www.amiga-hardware.com/ It's labeled "CVisonBVision.dms"

@qzxcvbn:

This (http://www.meanmachine.ch/~vgr/bvppc_instv3_r2_8.DMS) is the latest install-disk for the BVisionPPC.

As the cgxsystem.library is more recent in the latest release of CyberGraphX v3 (http://www.meanmachine.ch/~vgr/cgxv41_r71.lha), you would get the latest of everything by combining those. Ie - installing the install-disk and then replace the cgxsystem.library with the one from cgxv41_r71.lha.

That's ok. There was only one driver for both cards in CGX3. The drivers were seperated in CGX4 IIRC.

Im having problems installing the disk.

the Bvsion works fine ie Im able to view workbench.

If I install either disk 1 of 2 things happens.

The CvisionBvision disk install and I go thru the options which I leave as default.
Reboot the amiga either the screen loads up but its to dark to see or it just loads so far and stops.

If I use the Bvsion disk it wont load workbench at all.

If I try to change monitor before restart all I have is PAL option.

I am now at a loss on were to go from here.
Im sure its a simple fix and I've been away from my Amiga for over 10yrs and Im not able to work it out.

Thanks again to those who have helped me and to those who might.

With which AmigaOS version?

About the "too dark" image, you are probably out of the frequencies limits, of your monitor.

@qzxcvbn:

First of all - remove all patches and addons to your system - even silly things as the wb backdrop.

Then I have some suggestions:

It might be some wierd issue with the Firmware on your BlizzardPPC, you could try flashing it with the latest official release which you can find here (http://de.aminet.net/pub/aminet/biz/p5/Flash-300399.lha).

You could also try to make the latest driver + latest CyberGraphX system combo:
Install the latest disk I gave you the link to earlier, then from the latest CyberGraphX v3 archive which I also gave you the link to earlier, do the following:
Code: [Select]
copy cgxv41_r71.lha/cgxbootpiclib/cgxbootpic.library to LIBS:
copy cgxv41_r71.lha/cgxsystemlib/cgxsystem.library.040 to LIBS:cgxsystem.library
copy cgxv41_r71.lha/cgxvideolib/cgxvideo.library.040 to LIBS:cgxvideo.library

Also, remove any old CyberGraphX settings from ENV:/ENVARC: before installing.

Hi, qzxcvbn!
I think i have a similar problem with my Bvision. You say that your BVision is fine because you can see the workbench screen. Hmm, are you using an AGA or a CGX screenmode?
I can use an AGA screenmode like before installing the card, but when i try a CGX one, i only get an empty grey screen. (or a black one, like in your case, if i'm using a borderblank utility)

Yes
Before running the Install disk I see the Workbench screen must be thru AGA. After installation I reboot. The boot picture comes up and stays on sreen and thats it.
I know workbench comes up as my CD drive spins up.
If I connected to a TV at the same time would I get a picture ?.
I donk know what to do.
The install disk dont help as there are not instructions to it.
Do I need to have other software installed before hand.

If you get the boot picture after installation of the BVision install disk, you need to change the Screenmode prefs so Workbench uses the BVision board. You can use your TV for this.

After installation of the BVision disk the Workbench graphics will not automatically be switched to the BVision board, you need to do this yourself.

Thank you so much.
Why this isnt made clear in the 1st place.
So if i install the Bvision software. Then hook it up to the TV i should be able to change the monitor setting to Bvision.
Im not able to hook up the TV and a VGA monitor at the same time. Would this be a problem.

Would I need a TV as well as a VGA monitor if i were to play OCE/ECS/AGA Games. the signal would not be passed thru to the VGA monitor.

Again thanks

I believe most people are using two monitors, one for Amiga video output and one for graphics card output. In your case it will just be a TV for Amiga video output and a monitor for graphics card output.

There is no problem in connecting a TV at the same time as you got a monitor connected to your BVision.

The best solution will be to have a scandoubler and the graphics card connected to a switch box. This way you can use one monitor for both video outputs. When you load some software that can't be displayed through graphics card you just switch, and as soon as you quit to Workbench, just switch back.

NOTE: The scandoubler is only needed in case your monitor can't display 15 Hz screens. Some new monitors are able to go down to 15 Hz, such as my Medion 15" TFT monitor.

---EDIT---

Nope, the Amiga video output isn't passed through to your graphics card. If it was so you would be able to see games loaded from disk through your graphics card, but unfortuanately this isn't the case :-(

Cheers doctorq
I just thought the software routed the output the the BVision just like some of the early 3D cards for the PC.
No wonder i couldnt see anything.
Now i'll have to change rooms.

The fun gets better !! When you install CGFX then search for the option to keep Amiga video. When you run the Amiga then keep your Workbench in Bvision mode !! When you then run a program in AGA mode then the picture of your Workbench will stay at the monitor that is connected to the Bvision and on the other monitor that is connected to the video output you will then see your AGA program, such as DirOpus for example. You can then work with two different screens !! Doesn´t work for all programs but it does for utilities !! It´s really cool !!
