Title: Cooling Amiga 1200 accelerator
Post by: SidVicious on April 05, 2005, 05:55:34 PM
Okey, now i got two small cooling fans. The problem is:

There isn't much space for a cooling fan on the processor that's on the acceleration card. So, i want to mount it under the space that's on the top of the Amiga over the F1-F12 buttons. But, how ca i get the air to get under and on the processor on the acceleration card? And where do i get the power from? It's 12V

Remove the small shielding plate above the clockport.  Attach a 80mm fan here and attach it to where the floppy drive is connected, then use a Y adapter to reconnect the floppy.

This solutions works well.

Thx! I've looked around on Y cables, but there's so many! Do you have a picture or a link on one? (don't want to open my Amiga for the third time to check what the cable looks like =P)
Btw, 80mm fan? How do i know if it is 80mm fan or not?
