...was really boring... I'm so disappointed, if you plan to go to a Live gig, sell your tickets and listen to your CD... you'll have a lot more fun.
-
NIN - too angry for me.
(To be fair, I only listened to three songs before deciding they were
kiech)
-EDIT-
Isn't that the eejit that used to mutilate himself on stage?

I rather enjoyed "Pretty Hate Machine" and "Downward Spiral" is full of good ideas... it's just that Trent Reznor is totally unable to focus his ideas into songs. The guy is a producer, not a song writer.
What surprised me most was that most of the crowd just stood there staring at the stage, in disbelif at what they were seeing... It was so terrribly terribly sad :-(

Bollocks :-(
I really wanted to see them live too. They're live DVD and some bootlegs I've heard have been great... Ah well...
@Wilse
Never heard anything about him mutilating himself on stage. Some things did get out of hand during a tour with Manson though - Manson sliced one of his nipples off :-P
They do have older music videos that feature mutilation though (Happiness in Slavery is banned over here for it's highly explicit S&M content).

Do get me wrong the music was well played... but the show was very very dull, lacking any emotion... There was no feeling there at all... oh and the highly choreographed mock fight between Reznor and one of the guitarists made me want to be sick...
-Edit- The Light shows was good, well it was when they turned off the 1 billion candle power flashing lights pointing straight at the audience rendering most of us blind for several minutes... between the flashes... :-(

hmmmmm......
The Fragility Tour was AWESOME, but this is the start of his tour.
I have my tix for 5.24.5 and I'm not missing it for the world.....
The first time I saw NIN was on the Pretty Hate Machine tour. :-D

Please post your reaction to it, because I'm feeling really really disappointed, to have paid quite a bit of money to watch some rambling unfocused ideas spewed out as if he had just put an audio cassette on... I honestly felt "say" from Wb1.3 conveyed more emotion.
Oh, and there was no encore either. To be honest about half way though, I thought he was just taking the piss, and the real gig might start...

Hey, I gonna be on TV next week, for those of you in the UK, I'm gonna be on the TV show "CDUK", I'm the guy with the white top in the front row of the Nine Inch Nails performance...
NIN were much better than on Wednesday :-)
I also met Trent and had a chat with him :-D

Fame at last!
When and what channel? I'll look out for you. :-D

hmmm, next saturday on ITV... um, whenever CDUK is on... I guess that's in the morning :-)
I look at bit shocked, as we blagged our way in 5 min before the gig, the TV studio is just around the corner from where I live, we were out for a walk and noticed the NIN flight cases outside :-)

Were you the one waving the manky sock about?

No, the director took it off me :-(

It's a conspiracy to take away the freedom of expression of followers of the church of sock everywhere...

Sorry I couldn't see you, Mate. We Yanks don't get Brit TV over here, for the most part, unless it's incredibly old situation comedies, it seems. Ab Fab and the East Enders come to mind.
Nobody had better say sh!t about Red Dwarf, though. I'm still waiting for all the DVDs.

You're up to date with us. I - VI are all out on DVD, VII should be out here by Christmas (if they stick with the current time schedules like the others) and in March with VIII for you guys.

IMHO, don't bother with series 8... series 7 is not great either.. just stick with series 1 to 6, they are the best.

I probably haven't seen past season 3.
