Well, like everyone else in the world, I've got a few GMail invites to hand out (50 of them, actually.) So I figured I'd try and give them away.
For those who don't know, GMail is Google's 'free' email service. It's in Beta stages now, so it isn't open for the public, they expand the testing by allowing existing members to invite others to join. Features are - 1 GB of free storage (which, with GMailFS, you can use as web storage), a nice, clean interface, search function for your archives.
Anyways, just either post here or PM me with your email address and I'll send you an invite. :-)

If he runs out of invites (which I doubt because they get refilled every few days), and anyone is without one. I'd be glad to contribute a few of my own as well..

Just so you know to check your e-mail, blobrana, adonay, adz and JJ, I've sent invitations to the accounts you specified. :-)
-
I have 50 too, so yeah. PM me if you want an account

Same goes for me. No matter how many I give away, it keeps saying I still have 50 left to give out.
PM me if you want one.

Well, I've gotten it down to 45 remaining  Maybe I should see if it IS actually possible to run out of GMail invites :-D
LOL, reminds me of a Red Vs Blue episode -
"Does anyone want a GMail invite? I only have 40,000. It's very exclusive"

Hum,
You`ll run out of ppl.
Is that why they call it viral marketing?
(BTW, Tnx.)

I'd like a GMail account, if it's easily acessible using my Amiga... pretty please :-)

You can use it with pop3 and smtp from YAM if Amiga browsers won't render the page correctly.
PM me your current email address and i'll send you an invite.

Yeah, I probably will run out of people. Down to 39 left now. Anybody who hasn't gotten one can still contact me and I'll send one.
And  at your sig :-P

I think it's open to the public now. I got an invite from gmail not too long ago saying I could have an account now. I put myself on their mailing list and they finally emailed me. I already had an account by then, though because someone invited me. I have 50 invites, too. :-)
I think the invite thing is good because if you invite evil folks and they do bad, then its your fault and you're linked to the badness so you try to only invite good people you know.
-
you could get one free from here gmail invite (http://isnoop.net/gmail/index.php?key=0bcc37e5ab87c7f811157bd5f576b8f4)

Just wanted to post that Google is doubling the amount of free storage with GMail to 2 GB. I've also still got 39 invites left. :-)
-
Well, it's been a couple of months, and I have another 50 invites, as I'm sure almost everyone else here does as well. They're annoying me, so if anyone still (perhaps if you've been hiding under a rock for the last 12 months) doesn't have a GMail account and they want one, pm me or post here. :-)
-
Yahoo mail is also 1GB of free storage and no invite is necessary.
-
Nice. Yeah, I'd heard about Yahoo upgrading. GMail is 2.3gb (and increasing continuously) now.
-
It's interesting after all of these invites that they have restrictions on the "types" of files you can send as attachments with the service. It sorta makes the have X gigs of storage sound mute.
-
I could use a gmail account if any of you would be kind enough to invite me :-)
Thanks

No thanks, I'll keep my privacy.

Well, in that case, you better not use the internet. GMail's privacy policy is clear for anyone to see, and I fail to see how it is really any different to that of MSN - the only thing is that Google actually tells you what they're going to do. Hotmail does exactly the same thing - filters email checking for spam, and displays advertisements based on your demographics. I don't dislike Hotmail (I still have an account), but it's annoying when people bash GMail without having read the privacy policy. Even if Google's scanning policy was extremely prohibitive and invasive (which it's not), I would still rather have that and no spam than 200 messages a day about my potential impotency problems and why I need viagra at 21 :-P
-
Well, I too have over 30 invites left, so PM me if you're interested :-)
-
I would also like to get on board with GMail if anyone still
has the invites available.
