Hi,
I was wondering if the Amiga OS allows for parallel processing when you network amigas together? If this is possible has any software been written to take advantage of this? It would be kinda cool to set up a rack with say four or more A1200's and see what they could do.
Any ideas or opinions on this?
Thanks

Nope, not that I know of.
Though I did read an article many years ago about the Amiga 3000 and accelerators. Apparently the native 030 is still available for use when using an accelerator, might have been a specific one can't remember. It was just that the 030 was not used when the accelerator was installed. The article basically stated that it was theoretically possible to use both the native onboard 030 and the accelerator cpu at the same time, given that appropriate software was written to take advantage of this.

I don't think Amiga OS has any support for clustering, but I believe Lightwave supports render farms of some sort.
